Peer Review Process
Every submitted manuscript is evaluated through a strict Double-Blind Peer Review process, where the author's identity is concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.
Review Stages
- Initial Desk Evaluation: The Editor-in-Chief / Section Editor assesses whether the manuscript falls within the Focus & Scope, adheres to Author Guidelines, and satisfies plagiarism screening (<20% similarity). Manuscripts failing initial checks may be rejected or returned for corrections.
- Double-Blind Peer Review: The manuscript is sent to at least two (2) independent external peer reviewers who are specialists in the relevant subject area.
- Reviewer Recommendations: Reviewers assess methodology, novelty, academic rigor, and conclusions, providing one of the following recommendations:
- Accept Submission (without revisions)
- Revisions Required (minor modifications)
- Resubmit for Review (major revisions and re-evaluation)
- Decline Submission (rejection)
- Editorial Decision: The Editor makes the final decision based on reviewer comments. The decision is communicated directly to the author.
- Copyediting & Proofreading: Accepted manuscripts proceed to language copyediting, layout formatting, and DOI assignment.
Estimated Review Duration: 4 to 8 weeks from submission to final decision.
